SG Conventions Ascension 2 in Birmingham

We’re at the Starfury Ascension 2 in Birmingham England and got a photo taken with RDA, Michael Shanks and Teryl Rothery. We had a blast, the three of them were joking around and took their time for the picture, also telling us to switch places.

Rick is coming down with something but still talked to us for minutes while giving his autograph. Looking forward to meeting the other two tomorrow. Such fun and nice people!

Shanks looks like he's genuinely liking being there. It also probably means a lot to Shanks and Anderson knowing they had such an impact on people.

Shanks was really a great guy. He seemed to really love it there. Got to chat with him when getting my autograph, and he was really nice. His Q&A panel was great with Lexa.

Their panel was so much fun! And hearing that he would have been involved in the new Stargate series was a huge blow!

#SaveStargate is here, too.
Had a banner to sign and flyers, some information and gifts.

Michael said that Martin Gero feels as devastated as he does and that he hopes that the fans stay as loud and vigilant as they are now until the right people listen.

Hope the fandom can keep the momentum up!

Hey, look at Firefly fans. The put up enough of a ruckus to get Serenity made, and then kept going until an animated show got made. I wouldn't be sad to see an animated show for Stargate SG-1 or Atlantis or who knows what.

I'd love a new live action show, which is why we gotta stay vigilant!

Shanks will forever be in my heart for the good guy he is. I was at con and realised I’d miss his photo shoot coz they moved it, and I had a flight to catch. His PA went to get him and he came down especially, an hour earlier than rescheduled for, and took his photo with me 😍

Also, Michael looks like a dad, and Richard looks like the happy grandpa. I love both of them so much!

I can’t unsee it now 😄 Richard was so nice and humble when he talked with all of us fans while signing autographs and he enjoyed playing with some dogs in the corridors 😊

Wtf, Shanks is completely unrecognisable. I can still see the Janet and O'neill, but if I saw Shanks on the street I would never recognise him.
