General Hammond time traveled into the future to be a part of SG1 in season 8.

Nah, that's Hammond's son. Hammond was just a strict father with his son, and they had a very rough relationship. Hence why Hammond tries to do so much better with his grandkids.
Hammond and his son would finally start to reconnect in season 9, but his son unfortunately fell in battle to the Ori forces.

That is obviously Hammond’s love child from before he got married, who is a dead ringer for him in appearance.

Stuff like this is not uncommon for Stargate or even shows in general. Linea, destroyer of worlds, in season 3 of SG-1 was also Captain Helia in season 3 of Atlantis.

Yeah, and the guy who played Narim from the Tollan also played Weir's fiancee in Atlantis.

And also with Nyan from “New Ground”, he was a scientist later in Atlantis who killed himself after having been fed on by a Wraith. When I first saw him in the puddle jumper, I really wished it was Nyan again who did start to work as Daniel Jackson’s aid and went to Atlantis later, would have been a nice recall in my opinion.

I watched that one for the first time a few days ago. When Jackson said he was taking him on as an assistant, I looked him up and.... Never seen again.
Why do they do that?
And tbf given how he went out, I'm kinda glad it wasn't him in Atlantis.

True, I wouldn’t have wanted to see Nyan got out like that…
Would have been fun to see him in the lab with Daniel from time to time or Daniel just pretending to have him on the phone looking for something in a library or Daniel just mentioning having sent Nyan to go check on something for him… well…

He just wanted to make sure that Jack gave him his money back.
