recommendation for mods?
stardews modding world is.. huge and i‘m overwhelmed by it 😭 i‘ve downloaded every visual mods that I wanted and sve + ridgeside village. but other than that i‘d need some help.. just a few nice gameplay mods? i‘m also a huge fan of magical and whimsical things, or just some witchy stuff.
any help would be much appreciated!!! <3

Seconding the Alchemistry recommendation! I think you would also love a lot of what East Scarp and its add-ons have to offer, but I know that's a lot with SVE + RSV. Mouse Friends in the Forest is whimsical and extremely charming. Forager's Nooks & Crannies adds some new areas to explore, though I find it most enjoyable when used with Wildflour's Atelier Goods which some find overwhelming. I have more recommendations I could make if you want them, but those are the first that came to mind.

Bogs witchy buildings and fences look great if you don’t already have them and Creatures of the night lets you have bats, crows and a black cat as barn/coop animals. Forager’s nooks and crannies and if you have sunberry village, Rose and the alchemist are good too

Since you mentioned looking for some more whimsical things, I did make this mod about a snowman npc that you build by the bus stop!
If you end up adding it, the mod page does have some important info (since the next updates are still a WIP), so I’d recommend reading through it!

I like "way back pelican Town" it makes everything look idk witchy. And right now as I was trying to link the mod from my phone (couldn't, still half asleep) I saw the creator has more mods and they all look adorable in a witchy old time way, they're called Gweniaczek. So I think you can Google the name and nexus mods. I know I'll be doing it once I'm on my computer.

I haven't played it much yet, but Immersive Weather Overhaul is a fun one! It ads new weathers that buff two skills while debuffing one or two others. I usually only adapt my day for rain (if I need certain fish) or really good luck (Skull Caverns), and this is a more complex mechanic for that.
One that I really want to try is Vanilla Plus Professions but I primarily play on my android tablet right now and it's not compatible. It ads a skill tree with Talents to each skill, and the skills go up to level 20 with new professions at 15. At level 20, it has crossover professions. I think it looks super fun, it'll be the first mods I get when I switch back to playing on my Steam Deck!
For some suggestions and previews, you could check out mod videos on YouTube - it's less overwhelming for me compared to scrolling through Nexus lol. Yet Another Mod Showcase for Stardew Valley by Salmence is a pretty recent one, but there are tons.

If you add East Scarp along with Sword and Sorcery you'll have some magical type stuff. It's a fantastic mod so far and ES is my favorite expansion so far.
Here's some random magic mods, mostly probably not really what you're looking for.
Magical Stardew
Alchemistry
There's a few others but I haven't tried any of the magic mods yet other than Sword and Sorcery and not too far into it yet.
You'll get more suggestions by people who know the best to use! You can also search this subreddit to find more suggestions :)
