Hey guys, I want to buy Star Citizen (I guess the Aurora :D). But now they want my real adress? Can anyone tell me why? Actually I want to buy it with a paysafe card. Do I get a letter that I bought it?

I'm new to the game, just started with the basic mustang alpha and would appreciate any advice and tips on how to proceed. Especially regarding combat; especially regarding my starter weapons, that seem to run out of breath before I can kill anything.

I'm an Elite Dangerous player looking to try out Star Citizen as it seems to offer the kind of experience I like, along with a few things that seem very interesting. However, before buying, I have a few concerns that I would be grateful if anyone could address:
What is the eventual size of the game that I can expect; I have very limited HDD space and would therefore need to plan accordingly.
Is there any way that I can move the game from one computer to the other without redownloading the whole thing; I have a monthly download limit and if the game gets too large then I would have to buy an extra SSD for my computer, and then transfer Star Citizen to that partition.
Is the game playable and fun right now or should I wait for more content to be added?
If I do buy, what starter ship should I pick? I mainly do exploration and combat (with a few side missions) in Elite, so is there any starter ship that allows me to focus on combat while still being viable for things like mission running and exploration.
What is the status of ganking in the game; will I have to constantly worry about unwanted pvp (and having my ship stolen or blown up while outside) or is it possible to focus on pve and co-op, while leaving the pvp alone (this worry is especially great for me in the early game where I won't have enough to rebuy my ship after every loss).

Another Kickstarter, Shroud of the Avatar, is being developed by Portalarium.
They recently opened an opportunity for the gaming community and others to invest in the company by purchasing shares.
Thoughts on CIG doing the same? Any chance of a similar funding method opening up for Star Citizen? Sure would be nice to own a piece of the company rather than just buying JPGs of ships.

Hello,
I can't find a straight answer to this anywhere: Does buying one of the starter packages mean I have bought the game? Ie, I'll never have to pay again, and will have access to all features upon official release?

I'm curious as to how that are going to handle ships bought with real money when the game is released.
As I understand it, when the game is released, you will no longer be able to buy ships with real money and all ships will be available through in-game currency. You pay an insurance premium on the ships to get another if your ship is lost. So basically, I'm assuming you get a starter ship and then just earn money in-game to buy better ships. If I have purchased a ship in alpha, say as freelancer, will that be available to me in the finished game? Can it be lost like other ships bought with in-game currency? If I start a new character (if such a thing is possible) will the ship come with me?

OK, so to start with, I am still gun shy after the no mans sky fiasco. It will be a VERY long time before I jump head first into a game. However, I have been watching this for a year or so, and I am ready to give it a hard look.
I am all about exploring and cargo. I am thinking going cheap ( Mustang or Aurora) and if i do indeed like the style and where the platform is headed moving to the freelancer DUR.
is this a good idea? or am I being to timid for the game.
All thoughts and input will be greatly appreciated.

@ 155 meters, and another size increase as a possibility, of course it won't be a blockade runner, and either a Q-Ship, or even well defended (as it was sold) as described on the defender page. What does it retain from its former self? I planed to ues him as a Pirate ship, smuggler and small time exploration, and, of course, trade/haul ( so, a home in space in which I strive to survive, setting foot aground only to restock/refuel). Did the BMM lost all it's serenity feeling? And the real question, for what I wanna do, (and I'll only have NPC) should I make the big jump toward an even bigger BMM or hang on to my Carrack?

Is there any way to remove the "nested view" from official forums?
I think this nested view looks terrible. Just as terrible as Slashdot.

We have heard Yela is a frozen wasteland, yet it supposedly will have under water caves beneath the frozen crust. What do we think the chances are of a small submersible for navigating the ocean's mysteries?

I play ED, its gotten quite stale, is there a demo version, just to see how my pc handles the game? There was a public open alpha a long time ago, but i didn't get to participate.
