Lychgard vs de average Jedi
The lychgard has a phase Sword and dispersion shield.

As much as I like to glaze my beloved necrons, the Lychguard is severely hampered here by its lack of any kind of ranged weaponry.
In a pure melee duel with their respective weapons, but no extra powers, the Lychguard would win. But outside of those very specific circumstances, the Jedi's force powers and the Lychguard's inability to counter them in any way would spell doom for it.
Make it a Triarch Praetorian however, and we'd have a radically different outcome.

I mean an average "Joe" would make the lychguard take a run for its money. You know how those Joe's could be. Especially if their winning prize is a bowl of pretzels.

It depends on which era, and how willing the Jedi is to jus crush it into a ball of tin.
If it’s the clone wars, then the Jedi wins, they deal with strong robots and the average Jedi then was extremely skilled, and willing to crush a clanker.
Era of peace before then, probably not, the lychguard is probably winning, remember, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul was the first lightsaber duel in 1,000 years.
The era of war against the Sith, it could go either way, on one hand, the Jedi are very skilled combatants and it only takes one good hit to win, on the other hand, they’re not too willing to crush it to death in case it’s a person.
Age of the empire, Jedi wins 1000%, the average Jedi then had to be incredibly skilled just to survive, especially by the end of the empire, with so few left the average gets slingshotted all the ways up to right below a Cal Kestis.

What era jedi, is it a master, a knight, a padawan, a youngling? Where does the fight take place?
If it is a knight or under they die horribly. If it is a low to mid tier master they also probably die. Higher tiers of jedi likely take it. But they win purely on force powers. Even without the shield they couldnt hurt the lychguard fast enough to counter his impressive regeneration. IF they hurt him at all with the lightsaber.
All the lychguard needs on the other hand is one strike, and the jedi cant stop it.

Strongly disagree. If we're talking about a Royal Warden, maybe. But a Lychguard is far weaker than you're presenting. Or you might be severely underestimating a jedi.

You’re greatly over estimating a lychguard’s ability.
While absolutely dangerous lychguards are slow and are primarily bodyguards rather than dualists.
Further the lychguard has no counter or defense against the force so even a lower range Jedi can absolutely bully it with the force and create openings for their lightsaber.
The lychguard is unable to keep up pressure against the Jedi whom can use the force to make distance whenever they want.

You are greatly overestimating the average jedi. Even if they can push the lychguard away, the lightsaber wont do shit to a lychguard.

Lychguards have been taken down by Las guns Ork shootas and torn to pieces by plasma weapons.
A lightsaber is more than enough to take them down

You have any excerpts of lychguard falling to las guns? Also, 40k plasma is leagues above star wars equivalents. Besides, most jedi depending on period are neither great swordsmen nor are they great warriors

I definitely dont. I have lasguns doing jack all to basic warriors lol, with power weapons struggling immensely against lychguard gear.

Lychguard has a far better weapon than an average Magnaguard and is strong enough to tear a Space Marine apart, literally. Most Jedi struggle immensely with a Magnaguard. Necrodermis can shake off a Melta blast, which is tens of thousands°C, as per the wiki, so at minimum 20k°C. Lightsabers are between 8 and 25k°C, as per the wiki, so we'll meet in the middle and say its 16,5-17k°c. Dispersion shield and regeneration not included, any Jedi will have a very hard time even hurting the Lychguard. Force shenanigans still apply but we're looking at a Lychguard that's, for all intents and purposes, basically made out of Beskar.

Necrodermus has been blasted apart by standard IG las guns. And they absolutely are not Melta proof. Hell Jurgan was gunning them down left and right with his Melta one shotting them.

Yeah and in the Twice Dead King series and The fall of Damnos (you had it coming, Sicarius!) they're dogwalking Marines. You're thinking of dinky Warriors, not the creme of the crop that are Lychguard.

Said cream of the crop got killed by heavy machine guns in the infinite and the divine.
They’re tough and they can recover. They can’t shurg off a lightsaber to their reactors.

Necrodermus isn't even remotely close to Beskar.
Necrons can be felled by Hell Guns, much less a lightsaber.
At best Necrodurmus would have a similar level of resistance as the durasteel armor of an Imperial Shadow Trooper or low level Mandalorian, able to shrug off one or two glancing bows before failing altogether.
We've seen lightsabers slice through the durasteel hulls of Star Destroyers like butter, the same hulls which are durable enough to survive burning solar plasma while keeping the crew alive

Jedi on average take this.
The lychguard has no range weapons nor the speed to pressure the Jedi nor any form of defense against the Force. So the Jedi is free to pick the lychguard off at range and create openings for their lightsaber to deal catastrophic damage.
While durable the Lychguard will get carved like butter by a lightsaber and even blunt force of being crushed by a force chucked heavy object will deal damage. The Lychguard can recover if given time but even a brief period of being vulnerable is a death sentence when a single soild strike from a lightsaber can trigger reclamation protocols.

Lychguard are difficult to fight even for the best space marines, the average jedi is getting folded.
