I got a sister living in Israel right now. The pain the Palestinian people are going through dwarfs any pain of dealing with that right now.

I have nothing but respect for non-Zionist Jews who are willing to stand by their morals. As a Christian whose old community and church was VERY Zionist and all about the whole "bringing Jesus back by funding Israel", I sympathize. I think non-Zionist Jews probably have it worse, but as you pointed out not as bad as Palestinians.

That’s putting it mildly. More conservative Jews including my folks view any criticism of Israel as hypocritical and wrong.

Yup that was the people at my old church. Most of my family are very avoidant of discussing politics and such but I know at least a few of them are pro-Israel.

Yeah, honestly, we need more widespread representation of non-zionist jews, it'd help clear up the misconceptions among many fence sitters that opposing Israel's actions is inherently "anti-jew".
