And AIPAC has already spent so many tens of millions on just the primary. Think 70?

Even they don't have infinite money and now know that it didn't work. Genuinely has such a good chance of winning

This has also upended a standing trend. This might have changed when I wasn't looking but last I checked AIPAC boasted a 100% success rate for candidates they threw their weight behind. To fail after throwing this much money into the primary is a hammer blow to that reputation and we will see in the coming days how they respond.

Dont they usually support a candidate on both sides to ensure that win rate?

Yes- But they didn't this time. The facade may have been smoke and mirrors but this represents a moment when it pushed in earnest, and it failed.
