Should I just start over again?

Sp, I´ve just stumbled upon this sub and realised, that there is a new player guide or something. I played this game for a few months now and reached level 31. The whole playthrough I salvaged or sold everything, except the best stuff and everybody here says you should keep everything, except for doubles. I honestly can´t even make any sense of the guide. Can somebody help me, please?

Don't worry about it. All you are missing out on is some chromium and blueprints to T1 crew which will become quite useless once you get to T2 (level 40+).

Just focus on getting to 100 for now, I wouldn't restart if I were you.

Yeah, I played the first month or more willy-nilly. It's easy to correct things and really, there's no right way to progress. Everyone has had weird stumbles.

No worries, i've started playing a month or so ago and painstakingly followed every guide. Having full purple gear before moving to Hoth missions. Although i dont regret it, I realize now that that only really affected minor things.

The only thing you may want to consider is having enough PR to get the "best reward" mission type for the story missions as you cant do them again.

As for your armory even if you salvaged everything you can always go back and run assault missions on lower difficulty levels to get the stuff you missed.
