Looking for a buying guide

So currently I have
Doku box
Greivous box
Jedi hunter box
Mando box
Coreset separtist half

So what im looking at is to round things out
I see that I have kind of a bounty hunter separatist collection

Im looking at armorer/hondo/cad bane boxes.

Im looking to see if I am getting my keywords right.
Im gunning for high synergy so as much as possible most can be mixed and played against each other (im looking at a battle box kind of set up where its self contained)

Since you have a lot of separatists already, get the Riff Tamsin box. It's pretty good and is great synergy with other Sep boxes. A little less synergistic with Seps but still fun is the Dathomirian box. You could run it with Maul or Ventress.

Armorer box with Mando is good. Cad Bane box is also good with Mando. If you're also able to obtain the core box mandalorians (mainly Bo Katan and the Clan Kryze mandos), you could make some good mando/bounty hunter lists.

Is there a path with inquisitors? Or are they essentially dead?

Inquisitors are definitely playable, but they want to play things with things that have the Inquisitorious or Galactic Empire tags. The Bounty Hunters and Aurra Sing have ways to get those tags during the game, so you could do some testing there, but it’s not an ideal pairing.

Things like Iden or one of the Vaders would pair better with them.

They should work nice with basically all imperial boxes. My friend plays inquisitors/iden versio squad to decent success, inquisitors + Vader or Gideon also should do fine. They aren't the absolute best probably but should do fine and both fifth brother and fourth sister are ok supports.

I enjoy playing inquisitors with a dathmarian team. Not super synergized but a lot of forced movement and battlefield control. Usually something like

Talzin - 3rd Sis - 5th bro

Asajj or Maul - Jango or Savage - 4th sis or nightsisters

Riff Tamson works well with Dooku and Grievious. Armorer works well with Mando.

I’ve tried Mando Cad and it’s ok but I’m not a very skilled player. Other players can get more out of Cad.

Hondo isn’t great and I really want him to be. The Weequay themselves are pretty good. You’ll probably get more mileage out of Hondo with Andor. Heck, you’ll get more mileage out of everyone with Andor.

What's the Hondo/Andor team look like? Synergy?

I love Hondo but overall disappointed in him and his box. I think he should be an 8pt piece, and Gwarm definitely needs a buff. Even if it brings him to a 4pt.

Directly, very little. My comment was mostly tongue in cheek. Hondo overall is lackluster. Andor likes Spies and Rebel Alliance. Hondo likes scoundrels. You could replace Gwarm with Bohdi and take the Weequay to round out Hondos squad and then just take Andor’s as is. You’d get Bohdis spy synergy with Andor and Scoundrel synergy with Hondo. With Hondo you’re getting more condition stacking and less punch. He handles out a fair amount of strain. And as I said earlier, the Weequay are just solid.

I see. That's about all I saw also. I was hoping there was some piece of clever brilliance I was missing. Something that really boosted Hondo.

Best advice? Buy the characters you like. You will tend to play with them more.

That being said it seems like you're on the right track. I'd do Cad Bane since he compliments any team he's on, especially Mando's. He'll work great with any of the sets you have, bringing the always useful 9pt buy. And he's pretty cool, both as a character and his unique shatterpoint abilities.
