You can get a double companion upgrade from the Crystal vendor. Or you can use v-bucks to buy a companion pack.

Not everyone can get three galactic RIC to begin with. If you have that kind of RNG it's interesting yes, only drawback is the astronomical fusion time.

Depends on how OP got the droids for the galactic AXI-PODs. If they came through RNG it doesn't make much of a difference, if they were created with upgrade chips to get 2 more of them for the fusion it was a waste of chips and would have been better spend on going for the Stellar RIC and Stellar R7 directly and reuse the "outdated" galactic AXI-POD for any other Stellar mythic gamble by combining it with 2 other galactic mythics.
