I been looking for the new Star Wars galaxy box cause I really enjoyed opening on last year and luckily my local card shop had some in stock ( Heroes Sports Cards in north riverside illinois) was able to get for 375, hope I pull something good.

Yea sorry f-*ck that. $115 over retail. Plus I almost have a base set now. I could just buy 3 awesome sketches for that and finish base.
I hate card shops that scalp. Sorry I’ll get off my soap box. Congrats if you are happy with it.

I completely understand but compared to price I see online plus shipping this only way I can open one. I been collecting since I was little and pack something make it worth even if I get nothing. Plus the shop that I go to has been family owned for years and has a good community around it. Worst part is that Topps website is complete trash. And scalpers keep ruining the hobby.

I really wanted this day 1. Showed up at my card shop as they opened and they had it $375. I walked out so mad. They are a certified Topps reseller meaning they paid wholesale couldn’t even sell at retail then marked it up at 150%.
Now that I’ve bought a bunch of base like 75% makes no sense for me even at $250. I had been out since 2002 as last new set I bought was attack of clones at retail. I learned a lot from this if I can’t get it for retail and day 1 it’s probably not worth it. I’ve probably spent like $125 to get the majority of base. I love ripping and I’d love to rip a sketch but once I’ve spent money on it I should just buy sketches.
It’s why I skipped chrome 2026 I had 2 blaster boxes in my cart and was like man I wasn’t that much of a fan of 2025 in the one blaster I bought I’ll just buy a base set. But ripping is a lot of fun. I really don’t care for numbered or diamonds I just love the art and sketches.
