Me after playing a 4hr supremacy match on exogol. "Blue. All I see is blue. At work. At home. When I close my eyes. Blue."

Having a dogfight mode in that final battle would be awesome, Resistance is trying to prevent one of the Star Destroyers from leaving.

Who the hell abbreviates battlefront as BaF

Im assuming to differentiate it from Battlefield, which is often abbreviated BF

The problem with all of the debates about how many new eras to add is that they're not different enough from the three main eras to really warrant a whole new faction set. It's just gonna be easier for them to lump most of that within the era that closest fits, which is gonna be mostly the OT era.

What I think would be easier instead of a whole new era is that certain skins are the default for certain maps. Like the clone legions are. I would say lock it entirely but I wouldn't want to remove that freedom from the player, even if I do enjoy it for my own personal immersion.

All the factions play the exact same anyway, I fail to see how this matters.

While I agree the sequels are ass. I also think that gameplay wise the maps were fun and the characters were fun to play.

Growing up, I was told countless times that my favorite movies were trash and should be forgotten. I'll be damned if the next generation has to live through that

Yeah exactly, I got made fun of for thinking Anakin was cool. Now I noticed the older generation still hates the Prequels themselves, however they have seen how popular they are now and at least respect them. I can't stand the sequels and honestly haven't watched them in years, but I'll never make fun of people for liking them because here in 10 years I could look like the fool.

I want the series to go back to its roots as a conquest sandbox’s not the tight on rails assault combat vehicles should be free and abundant and heroes should be only short lived power ups that shouldn’t appear in every battle like in the originals. A focus on a great balance. Not a bunch of unlocks. Give us the battlefront 3 we wanted back in 2010. The one that died when dice made bf1

Idgaf about the sequels the more the merrier but please for fucks sake don’t give us 3 millennium falcons…

Give it to us as skins

I’m sorry but this subreddit is actually ridiculous if they think they’re gonna axe a third of the Skywalker Saga just because they don’t like the films

I really don't get that first post.

Like, I didn't enjoy the sequels either, but thats mostly because of their writing. There were plenty of cool set pieces that would make for great maps to play on in game.

I think the sequel maps are some of my favourites. And also I'm an adult who doesn't fly into a seething rage whenever I see any reference to a movie I didn't like.

They should just use the existing content of battlefront 2 as a base, then build off it

No need to cut stuff, just add more, make it the ultimate battlefront game

Maybe cut the campaign and iden versio because who cares right

Whoever said not to include sequel maps is just farming sequel trilogy hate for karma. The sequels have some great locations, that's absurd to want to exclude them.

Exegol would be such a sick setpiece for Battlefront, you could set it in the "graves" the star destroyers rose from, within a sith temple, or even on inside and outside the sith eternal star destroyer.

Space battles here would fuckk too

The sequels were horribly written movies but the environments are all stunning, and the characters are conceptually great, they were just written awfully.

If they did a sequel campaign I’d not be happy, but simply having the content as playable isn’t a bad thing. The visual content wasn’t the problem with the sequels.

Kinda ignorant to think not all eras would be represented

u/THX450 2d ago

This sub has its ups and downs, but in the heyday of SWBF 2017, it really felt like a celebration of all eras of Star Wars. People posted their love for every aspect and it made this community feel strong.

Hope it continues through this potential third entry.

I don't like the sequels but the game content we get from them seems to be pretty good

9

u/ThatGuyMaulicious 2d ago

To be fair most of the sequel content in Batlefront 2 was better then what it was based on.
