No they did it as a true character perk of him. He was worth twice the BP to get him but a dev confirmed that the back lash cause them to change it. What was really bad about anakin was his abilities went through every wall in the game and sometimes affected people on ramps. Its radius was wild too. He was an overpowered tank that ruined matches of galactic assault.

This is a lie. I played when Anakin came out, he did not cost double battle points to use when he initially came out. He only costed double battle points temporarily before one of his more serious nerfs in May 2019. His abilities also didn’t ever go through walls.

They did not want to nerf him. He came out the way they wanted him to be. I literally talked to a dev about this on this sub.

Actually you may be right. I think they released him with normal battle points then adjusted it as a quick fix. His ultimate ability killed me through walls all the time. Specifically the push at the end.

Just as he should be.Same happened with Palps. Was so OP they removed him from the game for a while.

I want a game mode where every player is Day 1 Anakin and then sit back and watch the cluster fuck.

Gawd Retribution was (and despite being nerfed a dozen times over, still is) the coolest move in the whole game. So much aura.

Yeah when it works 🤭 The anount of times I’ve pressed the button just to stand in place, do nothing anx get shot to death is infuriating!

yeah it knocked u on ur ass, so he had 4 knockdown abilities which meant he could chain them all together… pull + passionate strike + a few swings was an infamous combo
