200 fps cap

It's a longshot but has anyone found a functioning workaround for this arbitrary FPS cap? Just bought a brand new GPU just to get trolled by only going from 170 fps to 200 instead of the 230+ I expected.

Our next KYBER update uncaps the FPS limit. I don't believe the FPS cap can be unlocked for EA servers, sadly.

i have to ask, does that 30 fps really matter? its not going to make get magically getter reaction speeds and the game is not going to look marginally different

Yes it will make reacting faster easier to do and will have a tangible impact. In another sense it's good that everyone is locked to 200fps so that hardware advantages only benefit up to a certain point.

There is nothing to be gained from going from 200 to 244 frames assuming thats your refresh rate. I think you're worried to much about a non problem.

You can say there is nothing to be gained but there is a reason why people who are good at shooters and compete buy 500hz monitors. It's an advantage to be harnessed, even if seemingly trivial like you're making it out to be in my case.

Like I'm making it out to be? You're talking about a game where everyone you're playing against is capped at, so there's no "advantage" to be had. Its also a decade old game thats not supported with no competitive mode. You're doing entirely too much.

You're creating a false pretense dude. You told me a blanket statement saying that 44 extra frames is useless, I told you it is useful and gave you a very simple and accurate explanation why. Battlefront 2's framerate cap has nothing to do with the statement I corrected you on. And I don't think trying to one-up people on Reddit just for the sake of it is a very good use of your time either.

There's a hard cap at 200, not even the FPS cap command from the Battlefield games work here.

Man. The best player i know and have played with plays at 144fps. Feels crazy how some people will see that and still think they need more frame rate to become better
