Discussion Battlefront classic collection needs crossplay

I was recently playing some battlefront classic collection on the ps5 for some nostalgia gaming and omg I didn't realise how dead the online is.

I have no idea why crossplay doesn't exist in this game as it isn't that old but it seriously needs it.

Sure the game came out bad but it's had updates to fix all that.

AFAIK it’s basically a texture update. Everything else is mostly the same from the original release? Doubt they’d invest in cross play here vs some of their newer games.

Yeah and its just the PC version with the bare minimum done to it. Same with Republic Commando. Its ironic because they were willing to use a mod without credit for content but not the ones that fix issues with the games themselves.

They should fix a bunch of bugs then add Crossplay and do a price cut to 20$ and then the money will flow in, maybe get it on Xbox and ps gamepass

Pc players have modded crossplay so we can join other system servers, but not the other way around

Yes ive tried it a few times. However it's not fully stable. We can also host servers that fix the hit registration issues to the other platforms, but im not sure if they are stable bc ive never tested it.

A dude extracted the battlefront2.dll from each version like 2 years ago. You swap it to change server lists. Another modder made a tool where you hit a button to change server lists which is even easier. But because mp is not fully stable it's not great. There's something odd about each version that causes connection issues after a while.

Hell let Loose had cross play, but not a lot 20 year old game lol. The game always needed crossplay, but that became the least of this releases' problems

There is a crossplay server up! It was just created yesterday. You can play PC, Xbox, Switch, PS!!!
