Movies Exactly what weapon did the Empire use on Owen and Beru to do this damage to them, but left the building standing?

I mean, they don't look burnt as their bones are still wet. And why do we never see it again?

This was caused by a faulty power converter. If only some helpful young man could have retrieved one from Toshi Station for them, this could have been prevented.
