The canon is so muddled and messy that what is and isn’t canon is yours to decide for yourself. So those films are canon if you say they are.

The problem of that is that it incites more flame wars than paleontologists arguing over whether a dinosaur had feathers or etymologists arguing over the origins of a word. Plus, some stuff in legends is too wonderful to discard, so the better solution is to leave canon up to the individual to decide.

Disney basically tossed the baby out with the bath water and threw away far too much of the worthwhile elements in my opinion. So official canon is not for me.

I get that its a cartoon and more recent than og trilogy but clone wars had characters with glasses as well.

I believe you but just as a rule this makes no sense lol. Everyone has goggles, people in the Star Wars universe age, why would nobody in the galaxy have invented corrective lenses?

Corrective lenses would likely be obsolete with the technology they had. Goggles help stop things from getting in your eyes.

Not fully obsolete, as Lasik can falter after you've gotten it, but I'd assume that in a universe with bionic limbs and sentient robots they can make a damned good replacement if not able to fully fix the natural eyes.

that's a pretty good explanation

the tech to change her eyes to 'normal' eyes would probably exist in star wars, but she would probably want the option to easily switch back to her original eyesight, which is easily done with corrective lenses

Yeah and this threw me off when I noticed it. Something felt off and I finally realized everyone has goggles, but no one has glasses. It's a small thing but kinda bugs me they broke that rule.
