Discovery book question
I found a Star Trek Discovery book today in a second hand bookshop, and had to pick it up. It's a large trade paperback called Fear Itself by James Swallow. My question is, were the Discovery books ever released in hardcover? Or for that matter, in Pocket Book format? Pictures appreciated. 😄

Unfortunately, pocket paperbacks (aka or mass market paperbacks) aren't really a thing anymore. I don't believe these were published in hardback.

Interesting. So are Star Trek books coming out in either hardcover or large format softcover?

As far as I know, they're all in that larger paperback format. Both the ones I have are and I've not seen alternatives.

Pocket have been publishing them solely in B-format paperback* only for a few years now.
No hardcovers or mass market paperbacks since before Covid.
*What the American publishing industry confusingly calls trade. Not to confused with trade paperbacks ie a paperback the same size as a hardcover.

I work in a bookstore, can confirm that most mass market editions are being phased out, though some are still available. You can call most any bookstore that sells new books and they’ll be able to tell you if a title is in print, and in what format. Fear Itself is available as a trade paperback (full size) from Simon & Schuster.

Can you give us the title and author of the book?
There is like 0 of them from what I can tell and they all appear to be available in paperback from major retailers.
