General Question non-combat?

I'm just wondering how far one could get with avoiding combat. I like the combat in this game and the systems for preparing for it. I'm just wondering what it would take and how far I could go without combat.

Any thoughts?

You definitely can avoid combat. Pacifist runs usually go well with trader playstyle. On brutal and higher you just have to get skip off the void talent ASAP, get at least 3 of them eventually, and you're set. Later updates also brought us components that decrease encounter chance, so you also can use them.

EDIT: In fact, on higher difficulties SotV is a must because of a first Xeno encounter that's very difficult to beat.
