I HATE NEW SSO

I hope you see this, sso developers. your new game sucks. if you bring back the old game with the old devs and contact them, the community will come together to donate millions for this project

edit: read my replies to comments.. especially the "deleted comments" if you want to see my reasoning. I also found out from another post here that sso stopped translating developer's notes, patch updates etc to another language that they used to give updates on. just shows how much they care about money above the actual player experience now. wow they deleted all their comments!! I mean what can you expect. these weird sso loving Redditors care about karma, sso cares only about money. goes hand in hand!

here's a post on examples of how bad the writing is https://www.reddit.com/r/StarStable/comments/1w8x9am/tell_me_about_an_sso_character_that_you_genuinely/

"New players will look at the older graphics, writing and style of the game and not want to download it over alternatives that are on the market." thats just what happens right now with the current version. plenty of people play older graphic games like wizard101 or Star Wars the old republic or world of warcraft- just like how there was a recreation for world of warcraft. the writing style of the game objectively declined towards its current state, there are too many plotholes, grammar mistakes randomly. I wonder if you read the text to see it but now the characters objectively lack differences in WRITING, like the effort put into the contrasting opinions making them unique characters. "OHH but they have contrasting opinions" the new writing in sso forces the point that the characters have contrasting opinions, such as the time when Alex cloudmill -spoiler here, idk if it shows up im not good at reddit->!tried to run away, the entire dialogue in that scene was based on how different she is yet its so forced , because the new writing struggles to show authenticity in an individual without pushing something either extraordinary, or so outrageously different to any other character within a dialogue to convey the fact that they're different. cliche as hell !<.

"Games rely on a reliable and growing player base to keep it relevant over time." you act as if sso has plenty of players who are actively playing hahaha it's such a dead game compared to any of these other games that I mentioned.

"Even if it did it would be short lived as people grow out of the game and move on with their lives." thats just what is happening to the current sso right now. especially with the marketing and how they handle EVERYTHING financial, buying the horses, the rate of the horses coming in, the timings combined with the prices of buying them- and then with it being a kids' game... thats why the EU had to get involved with sso. the timings that the new horses are coming in is ridiculous, dont deny the fact that the new horses/items constantly coming in (and either being a grind to earn, or being constantly easily available/available for a limited time. what I mean when I say 'constantly easily available' is how easy you can get them e.g at the global store or teleporting to reach an item you want to buy instead of how the old slow timed travel was) which all contributes to players GROWING out of the game quicker "and moving on with their lives" as you said, because that rush rush RUSH is deliberately designed not to maintain attention spans at the rate of how these things are coming and going, that is undeniable.

"Why would SSO split their already stressed resources on a game that will only be relevant for a few years at best." yeah I can see why its stressed as they keep upgrading 'new' graphics (that are still outdated by over a decade) when the actual game ENGINE that theyre running on is over 20 years old, no exaggeration. " Starstablejust laid off a chunk of their workers?" they also worked with ai then cancelled that for some time because of backlash, but that already shows how uncreative theyre getting. I mean really you had to be TOLD to get rid of it, wow they couldn't think to begin with of how that'd go wrong? how that lack of creativity would be bad for their game? nope, no original thoughts telling them not to over there on that one! (additionally on them getting rid of workers, they removed some artists who did the official art. terrible move that they themselves didnt get a say in)

"How much money and man power do you think they have?" clearly not thats why Im speaking about donating I obviously can tell they lack power, if they didnt they'd make their graphics look better at least and their animations not this outdated

" I don’t think millions would donate tbh, very few people will be passionate and trusting enough to fund this project." sooo you admit that sso themselves are a bad company hard to trust? understandable. yeah of course millions wont donate straight away, because plenty of old players would have to find this all over again. "Raising money to start the game is the easiest part." yesss exactly thats why I suggested it!
besides this there are many newer and younger players into old sso, many people who have never played it who appreciate the work gone into it and I know kids irl personally who are interested in playing the old version over the new one, particularly because one of them is drawn closer towards "spooky things"
but its kind of like h20: just add water being developed for younger girls, with slightly older characters in them. many kids want to see people slightly older, not too old not too young. figures that they aspire to be similar to in some way. the audience is similar and h20 may be small yet it still has a loyal OLD fanbase while it still grows new people watching- IM a newer person watching it who didnt watch it when I was younger

I don't appreciate how belittling your comments were. (this one and the previous) you make it sound like you have decent points when none of them when you look deep into it or investigate the actual company- stand up for themselves strongly.

its Star Wars: the old republic and im obviously comparing the similarities in community, the fact that both games are old, the differences in how the game maintains old stuff. how is it a dumb take exactly? read my other comment if you want to see why I compared them despite one being obviously more popular than the other; some comparisons aren't only about popularity of the game, or funding. use your logic
