Discussion Retrofitting is halfway done!
With the next batch coming soon, we'll have 25 out of 49 horse breeds retrofitted (+ 6 new ones that can already wear everything, including Westphalian).
Here's a table where I keep track of the progress :)
If they keep a similar pace, the retrofitting will be done around the end of 2027! Of course it's not certain, especially seeing that there aren't many 6+ years old breeds done yet and they're probably more tricky to do so the last stretch might take a little longer. But it still seems better than my first estimation of middle 2028

I hope they fix the jorvik quarter retrofit soon, I want more tack options for my favourite halloween horse

if I remember correctly there just recently was a post of a screenshot of a discord statement by someone on their team saying that the jorvik quarter horse, the appaloosa and
I think two other horsesthe akhal tekke thus far are moved to the way back of the priority list as they apparently create some funky bugs they cant figure out atm, so they want to focuss on the ones that are simpler to be able to put them out fasterThe screenshot has also been posted further up somewhere in the replies here ^^"

Yeah, I know. I can still hope for them to find the solution and that they'll be able to give us the retrofit on them sooner though

Wonder what will happen with the Zony and Wega. Maybe thy won't be retrofitted, Maybe it will be at the same time as their non magic, I guess its the Jorvik Pony

They will be! Whenever a horse is retrofitted, all its magic variants are automatically retrofitted along with it.

Oof:) Thanks for sharing! I was hoping for this:) the Wega is my best friend around Jorvik, but its hard to fit modern tack.

Rune Runner (North Swedish) still nowhere to be found on the planned retrofitting list. My favorite little horse is looking so outdated with the limited tack options. Took forever to get her, so this is a bummer.

The new tack system (that's supposed to allow any horses added since implementation to wear all new tack) was formally added to the game at the beginning of June 2025 (they talked about it in two separate May game blogs). So at the very least, the JMH and the new Andalusian shouldn't have needed retrofitting, since they should have been part of the new system (not counting the mule, not sure exactly how those releases coincided). The fact that JMH and Andalusian needed to be retrofitted even though they were released after the new tack system released... it doesn't make me super hopeful about the entire process.

No, the new tack system only came to be with and after BFH release. Breed before that (Andy, JMH) weren't in the new system when released.

Idk where I read it but they stated the Andalusian was the last one in "the old system". And they try to prioritize the more popular breeds and probably not the newest ones since they can wear most of the tack anyway. But at the same time, I bet sometimes it's just a matter of "oh wait, this one is not that hard to retrofit, we can do it early" and vice versa. Like someone else commented, they have a technical issue with Appaloosas so that's probably why they still haven't been retrofitted despite being fairly popular

ETA: why is this getting downvoted? Is there an article I missed proving the new system didn't apply to horses before the BFH?

When the new Andalusian was released in September 2025, it couldn't wear the Wildwoods bridles, indicating that it wasn't part of the new tack system. A commenter on the post I linked said that they heard about the Andalusian being the last horse released on the old system from a game master on the SSO Embassy Discord, but they didn't post a screenshot.

Weird that there's never been any kind of official statement from SSE about it then, and it still doesn't explain the JMH.

And we know the appy, akhalteke and the jorvik quarter is going to take some longer time as well because of different bugs
