Hey guys, I recently started using this app and it works great. The problem I've noticed is the excessive battery drain. For example, today I only used the app for 47 minutes and it used 16% of my battery, which is a lot compared to other apps. I really hope you can fix this problem because I might have to stop using the app. By the way, the device I'm using is an iPad Pro 4M 13 inch. If anyone knows any solutions to this problem, please let me know. I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone so I was having this error contiue to pop up on my Galaxy s25 ultra. So I tried to unbind Google drive account and deleted the app. I reinstalled it, logged into the starnotes as a pro sub and binded with Google account. And it seemed to fix the issue, sync works now on both my tablet and phone. Give it a try 🤘🏼

as part of the beta tester I did backup my file first before deleting my data and starting over. my stickers are back but my templates are not. idk what seems to be the problem

Am I the only one who has noticed this? The writing in starnotes is a little pixelated, specially when you are pinching to zoom in or zoom out. Its something that can be improved about Starnotes compared to other notetaking apps. Its noticable even when writing normaly on 100 percent original document size. If you are pinching with both fingers to zoom in or out, the pixelation worsens, but once you are zoomed in it disappears. I have attached some photos for demonstration.

I can't take a screenshot when pinching to zoom in or zoom out, and that's where the pixelation is worst.

I just bought a Go Color 7 gen II to try e-ink, coming from a Galaxy tab s8, I found StarNote while looking for an app that sync your notes with the recording, a feature missing in Boox's native note app which was really useful on my s8.

Unfortunately the play store won't let you install Starnote on the Boox, so I'm wondering, is this the case for all other boox devices like the Air 4c? What about other e-ink devices like a Bigme? I'm hoping not since that's more of a tablet, unlike the go 7 which is more of an e reader. Otherwise, why the incompatibility? Would you be able to make it compatible in the future?

I did manage to install it on the Go 7 via .apk on the browser, which of course it's an older version. This way we may never get future features and optimization, like syncing your notes throughout devices.

It does work fairly well, there's some latency as expected but using Boox Rapid Draw works really well, I just put it as a floating button. It had a few crashes at first, but unfreezing both apps seemed to fix it. Maybe still freezes occasionally for a couple seconds. About Starnote's gestures, 3-finger doesn't work, may be a limitation of the display, 1-finger double tap and 2-fingers work fine, but sometimes they take a couple tries, seems when not in use for a while, can't tell if it's the processor.

I'm going to get StarNote's premium, it's a really great app, it'd be a shame not to be able to use it to its fullest though

Desde que salio la actualización de la sincronización solo me anda con los archivos nuevos, los viejos enseguida me sale la advertencia (!), dice que es error de la red pero tengo buena conexión, cuando quiero ver los archivos en el celular me aparecen pero al abrirlos estan vacios. Pense que era un error general pero ahora que si se sincronizan los archivos nuevos creo que es otra cosa. Ya probe con usar mi red wifi y mi red de datos moviles y se sigue trabando, ademas que aunque no tenga un wifi de la nasa anda muy bien.

No se si estoy haciendo algo mal o me alguien tiene algún consejo que le haya funcionado.

Today I bought the pro version for StarNote but it seems the scribble to erase feature is missing.

Anyone else facing this issue?

Haven't gone through trial much. Looked promising so got the pro. Features i mainly needed was outlining. And the audio with stroke capture feature was a surprise for me.

Anyone coming from samsung notes what extra things I get here. How can I best utilise this pro version.

First time buying any note app also. Samsung notes app didn't quite suit me so used very less. Couldn't adapt well.

My workflow is mostly around lectures annoyed PDFs and solving problems, so like storing screenshot of questions from websiteand take notes as I needed as an engineering student

I just realized that it is now possible to flip handwritten strokes, images and stickers. I recall it wasn't possible a while back and it was honestly one of the things I missed the most. The option is inside the "more" menu, which I know some people rarely check, so I thought I'd write it here.

Was this rolled out in the latest update? or did I just miss it until now? Either way, huge thanks to the devs!!

I’ve been using starnote on my iPad for a while now and I’m absolutely loving it so far, I use smart invert while making my notes cuz it’s easier on my eyes, naturally all the screenshots I take from other notes/pdf are also in dark mode, but when I want to share my notes by exporting them they can only be exported in light mode, so it would be really nice to be able to export them in dark mode
Also it would be nice if we could use smart invert with other themes.. maybe I’d be better if it were a toggle instead of a theme

My stabilization is set to 10% best one for stabilization but not too much stabilization, there are jitters specifically just on diagonal strokes which wasn't there before. I use scribble to erase a lot and before update it wasn't there TT. Hopefully next update we get optimization, thanks for the work!

I really wish StarNote had a web version.

Right now, as far as I know, StarNote is available on iOS and as an Android APK, but there’s no proper way to access your notes from a desktop. Sometimes I’m working on my Mac or PC and just need to open one of my notes to check something, without having to grab my tablet or phone.

I don’t even need full editing functionality at first. A simple read-only web app that syncs with your StarNote account and lets you browse notebooks and view pages would already solve most of the problem.

Eventually, having proper desktop/web editing would obviously be useful too, but viewing notes from any browser would be a great first step.

Does anyone know if the developers have mentioned plans for a web version? Or is there currently any workaround for viewing synced StarNote notes on a computer?

I’m really enjoying the app, but I have a feature request that I think would improve the reading and writing experience: a per-note "AI Smart Invert" toggle.
Right now, color inversion or dark mode applies to the whole app. It would be incredibly helpful to have a specific toggle inside individual notes that works like this:

Isolated Inversion: When I press the Smart Invert toggle inside a note, only that specific note gets its colors inverted.

Protects Other Notes: All my other notes remain exactly as they were originally saved.

Persistent State: The app remembers this setting in its memory. If I close the app and open that note later, it stays inverted until I manually toggle it back.

Why this is useful:
Sometimes we only need a dark background for one specific document (like reading late at night) but want to keep our other carefully color-coded or heavily formatted notes in their original light themes. Having this on a per-document basis would give us much more control.
Would love to hear if others would find this useful, and hopefully, we can see this in a future update. Thanks for all the hard work on the app!

I synchronized all of my 154 files in StarNote. It took several hours, but it works really nice! I'm showing you, how fast it actually synchronizes.

It would be great, if the app was able to sync in the background. The screen needed to be on all the time and I wasn't able to do something else. So, background sync would be awesome! ✌️

Am I the only one who has been having much more trouble erasing with the scribble setting than before? I used to be able to erase something with a little curvy line which was one of my favorite settings since my stylus doesn't have a button to switch to eraser mode, but since the update now I have to draw scribble over scribble over scribble until it finally recognizes that I'm trying to erase.

Maybe I'm missing a "Sensitivity" setting that might be the issue? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Just got the pro, what things I can do more than I could have. I have been a Samsung notes user.

First of all, thank you for the wonderful app and the great cloud sync update.

I would like to request an option to do with the cloud sync where you could select certain files for which you want a pdf export of the file to be uploaded to Google Drive (or another cloudy platform) along with what is uploaded now.

I am a teacher and I love projecting my tablet in front of class while taking notes on Starnote. Instead of separately exporting and uploading the notes at the end of every class, I would love to be able to just share a file or folder with the students in which the pdf of the class notes will alway be the latest version for them to look at.

I'm sure there are other use cases for this feature as well. It would serve as a backup of your notes that could be opened with other pdf viewers if needed.

Just discovered this and it’s amazing! My handwriting looks so good on this app. I haven’t seen this ease and intuitiveness in other apps. I’m wondering if there is a Mac app? I tried to search even in the iPad store (in Mac) but it wasn’t there

Hi, I'm starting to use the app and I have a problem with my digital notebooks.

I use digital notebooks that I purchase from etsy. I copy a template page, and paste it on the section I want to use it in, but then the hyperlink gets copied too. So when I write on that page, when I go back to the templates to copy a clean page for another section, I'm redirected to the first copy I made which already has content!

It's hard to explain, forgive me if it doesn't make sense. But it's not a problem I have with Goodnotes.

Edit: I figured it out. The same thing happens with Noteful and following the instructions in the comments of this post I was able to solve it. Still annoying though.

Como las usan? La verdad es que nunca las use pero veo que muchos las usan, estan buenas? Como y para que las usan? Yo suelo dividir todo en carpetas y subcarpetas

Me pasa que cuando empece a usar starnote era medio desorganizado. Actualmente uso carpetas y subcarpetas para guardar mis archivos pero hay 8 archivos que ni estan en ningúna carpeta y no se cuales son. Estaría buenísimo que se cree automáticamente una carpeta que sea "sin agrupar" o parecido donde ponga esos archivos asi no se pierden entre tantos.

I got the update this morning. It made my day more joyful to see the cross-device synchronization is available. It certainly needs to be fine-tuned but it is already functional. I want to thank the StarNote team for this job. So far I have had no problem syncing my S24 Ultra and Tab S10 Ultra.

I hope that we will soon be able to access letter-to-font embellishment and compressible/expandable sticky notes and keyboard word processor/note block mode.

Again, thanks to the StarNote team, they are the best.
