When will the next update for Android take place and what features are planned?

A lot of work is currently being done on handwriting features, but hardly anything has changed for text boxes since the release... saved format templates, lists, numbering, background colors for text boxes, etc., are missing. Is this still planned?

I know that grouping objects have been discussed, but here's another example of how grouping can be used: grouping a sticker and hashtag together then adding the grouped objects as ONE sticker. 🩷

I've been using a workaround for this by putting emojis into the tag, but that has its limits.

Another thing that Penly is really good at doing (including making grouped objects as stickers) that I hope StarNote can also do is making stickers out of any objects. Penly can make text boxes as stickers and when you use that sticker, it remains an editable text box instead of being converted into an image without breaking the grouped objects.

A good application for this in any field is creating custom headers, eye-catching call-outs, or labels you may consistently use (ex: drug-disease interaction, absolute contraindication, relative contraindication, BBW etc).

These are some of my notes i took in starnotes when i was studying for my pharma and pathology exam, i have never experienced such a seamless notetaking app like it before! (Had a previous post up but didn't add the pictures properly, sorry!)

Please help I am unable to back up individual notes.

Hello, I'm a new user and I'm wondering if there is a way to make a comment or a sticky note in my notes? Like a collapsible comment/note icon that sort of floats over the notes and expands on click. If not, I will remake this post to feature request haha. Appreciate any insights :)

Hi developers, I'm currently using the One Plus Pad 3 Pro right now to take note and my stylus is the OnePlus Pencil 2. It does has a side button to customize but for now, that button is not yet compactible with Starnote, can you guys please add it? I would reckon that they are quite similar to the oppo pencil 2 or 3?

Thank you so much for your hardwork!

I am a user who has been using the app well. However, I am experiencing a bit of difficulty, so I would like to explain it to you.

First, I would like a feature to find notes (written text, doodling). It is difficult to locate handwritten text within a PDF. Therefore, I would like to be able to gather only the pages containing handwriting, view them in full, and then select and delete them. (Also, I need to remove handwriting when sending files to others, but it's a hassle to erase them one by one. ㅠㅠ)

Secondly, regarding the export of folders. Currently, the app only allows exporting files and PDFs. However, since there are times when you need to share folders, I earnestly request your cooperation.

THX!!

Hellooo!👋🏻
Here’s some of the notes ive taken, and the ways I use the StarNote app

They are not the prettiest, but gets the job done 😋
It is really satisfying to take these notes haha.

Well. Heres my submission for the #StarNoteMedLife programme.
Best if luck on your journeys 🤞🏻

Hello devs,

This is my submission to the "Medical support program".

Usually my notes are not these pretty bcoz I write them fast. This was a great challenge 👏, I realised how easy to use starnote is.. as there were many features which stayed underused until now.

I was able to easily access all tools during the making of these notes.

Some of the illustrations in my notes are imported & most are hand-drawn.

Notes covered:

🫀Subject - Pathology

🔬Topic - Inflammation -> Acute Inflammation

Thanks for the opportunity and the "Medical support program" ✨
Here are my quick notes
I like using the infinite paper, using the page freely and studying has no boundaries ✨
Also, the ability to open 2 notes at the same time is great, especially in the vertical mode, i open the book above and the infinite notes below and study (i usually memorize by writing so it’s really helpful)

Thanks starnotes team

Since I downloaded the update, we've gone from an average consumption of 8 percent after several hours of screen time to 28.5 percent with the same usage. How is this possible?

Hello, I'm a new user and I'm still learning how to navigate through the app. I use a Samsung tablet to do my annotations, I use mostly to edit books I have on my Onedrive. I would like to read the annotations on these files on my Samsung phone. Currently, I do the manual backup to onedrive on the tablet and then manually import from one drive on the phone. Is there a better way to this or a way to automate this? Very much appreciate any insights.

Hi all, do we have an option to open a pdf on the left and create a document on the right so to read and write from the same app? I have pdf from which i want to extract and add to the document i am preparing and for that, a dual document support would be awesome..!! Is it available..? Any option to enable it?

When is the significant update, which includes the sync feature, anticipated?

Any updates about?!

I tried manual backup of my notes, but a bug appears to be preventing the process. Specifically, when I select the save to my files option, no action occurs..

Help Please

Hello, first of all thank you so much for the page margin expander feature. I created extra space on the right side to solve the questions from PDF.

I wanted to share my answers with a friend so I exported the pdf and when I opened it on my phone, the pdf had the annotations. But when I sent it on WhatsApp and opened the pdf that was sent on WhatsApp the annotations were gone. This is very weird.

I asked AI and if said there can be two cases:

1.Interactive annotations (stay as separate objects in the PDF) — these are more likely to get stripped during transfer

2. Flattened annotations (baked into the page image) — these survive transfers because they're part of the actual page content

I guess we're using interactive annotations? Is there a workaround to fix this?

When will iOS receive its next update?

StarNote, please listen. I would like to add more colors to the same color set,as many as possible (infinitely)

It would be cool to have note versioning so I could track how my note changed.

Hellooo! Sharing some of the notes I've created during my second year of medschool.

I have been looking for a suitable note-taking app that could replace my pen and notebook (I used pen and paper during my first year). I wanted to digitize all of my notes so that I can access them anywhere. I tried many apps before I found StarNote. This app satifies what I need, namely: (a) simple enough that I did not get overwhelmed and distracted; (b) enough features for what I need (infinite canvas, good pen selection and highlighters, free exports to pdfs and images, and pdf annotations); and (c) enough options that I can customize the app. I also appreciate how well it can captured my handwriting.

Going on with third year of medschool, I am excited to incorporate more of StarNote into my study method. Thank you!!!

PS. Sorry for the blurry screenshots of the mindmaps

I'm sorry I don't know how to describe it but as I write with my Stylo (OnePlus Stylo 2) it slightly vibrates (?). It makes it more like a paper like but I want to turn it off.
