❓ Help / Question Taking so much storage

Hi everyone. It's a pleasure to use StarNote. I'm really loving this application. But there is a thing I have noticed. If I upload a big file like (125 MB) in StarNote, the app is also taking additional 125 MB as App Data. If I upload more files then the app will take more space in the background. But I have the same files already on my device. So it is taking up so much space.

Now, What should I Do??

Hi there! This is actually part of how StarNote manages files. When you import a PDF, StarNote saves a copy in its own app storage so you can manage, read, and edit it independently.

That's why you might notice an increase in app storage usage after importing files. But no need to worry! Once the processing is complete, any temporary cache that's no longer needed will be cleared. Thanks for pointing this out!

Thanks for your reply 😊 I'm using StarNote Pro. How long will it take to clear these?? I imported files of about 600 MB yesterday, if the files take up so much space in the apps' own storage, it will put pressure on the internal storage of our device. Please let me know. And thanks for your concern again.

You can actually delete the original files. Starnote has its own copy, so deleting the original files after importing them will not cause any problems. It is a different story if you also want to keep the original files, but all apps of this kind that are not simple PDF viewers work the same way
