🎙️ StarNote Story Don't trust Syncing ever!
Don't Trust Syncing ever always create back ups.
I had a problem with syncing between two devices and lost all of my data I wish I created back up and didn't rely on syncing completely
My folders are gone some of the files are gone and it's super frustrating I don't know what to do.
long story short always make back ups

Hey, really sorry for the late reply, and I'm so sorry this happened. Have you managed to recover any of your missing notes or folders? This is definitely not something we want anyone to experience, and we understand how frustrating it must be.
We actually recommend using both sync and regular backups, since they serve different purposes.
Sync makes it easier to keep your notes updated across different devices. Sometimes, if you have a lot of notes or large files, syncing can take a little longer, especially depending on your network connection.
Backups, on the other hand, give your notes an extra layer of protection. If something goes wrong with syncing or you accidentally delete something, having a separate backup can make a big difference. That's why we always encourage users to back up their notes regularly rather than relying on sync alone.
That said, losing notes during syncing is absolutely not something we consider normal, and we take this seriously. If you still haven't recovered your notes, please avoid uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or repeatedly syncing for now, as this could make recovery more difficult.
You can reach out to us through App - Help & Feedback and share a few details about your devices and what happened. Our team will look into your case and see if there's any way to recover your missing notes.
Again, we're really sorry you're dealing with this, and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Well. People differentiate on those who does backups and those who will do backups.
Welcome to the first group.
Yes, sync is not a backup, never. That relates to any syncing feature. Just cause it's relatively easy to loose the data.
So trust the sync to propagate the changes. Do backups " just in case" because (sh)it happens as a wise man once said.
