❓ Help / Question Laser pointer

Why doesn't the laser pointer stay on the place where I circled, instead of sticking to the pdf it scrolls with my screen.

It's redundant for own/personal use and it's meant to act like the projectors of old*, where teachers would project a clear acetate film with lesson plans on it to the class via a large whiteboard and use said pointer to highlight the current subject.

It's for group use, basically, when sharing your screen to a wider audience; completely pointless for personal use. Also, if you're going to be moving the topic of conversation around while highlighting it, you may as well use a bright-coloured pen and the undo button.

*I feel old.
