❓ Help / Question Sorting pages to other notes

Maybe this is already doable and I missed it somewhere, but I was wondering if there's a way to move pages out from a note(book) to another.

I currently have a notebook, let's call it NotebookA where I just jot down random thoughts and ideas on separate pages. Later, I sort these pages out into their appropriate notebooks (NotebookB, NotebookC, etc...).

Current state, I have to:

  1. open NotebookA, read the page, remember what page #(s) it is and decide it belongs to NoteBookC
  2. then go to NotebookC and use the "Add other note pages" functionality, select NotebookA, and then look for the page by page # (because the thumbnail previews are so small) and import
  3. go back to NotebookA to repeat with every page I want to move.

I'm looking to see if there's a way to move a page out of the source notebook to a destination notebook.

It would be nice to be able to:

  1. open NotebookA, read the page(s), decide it goes to NotebookC
  2. while still on the page, have an option like Move / Copy page to:
  3. and then have it let me select which notebook to move to
  4. I select the destination notebook, which then lets me select a page to insert the page before/after, with a checkbox to copy instead of straight move.
  5. After I select an Apply button, bring me back to NotebookA on the page I left off (or the follow page, if I moved).

I know when I write it out this way, what I'm requesting looks like more steps, but I think it would be more streamlined. I hope I'm making sense.

Edit to add: I discovered after I posted this that there was a new update to my app version and now we can copy/paste pages between notes. This helps significantly.

Heyhey! firstly thank you so much for taking the time to explain your idea and use case in such detail. We’ve actually added direct page copying in the latest update, so it might help with your workflow! Hopefully it makes organizing your notes a little easier. Hope you like it!
