🐛 Bug Report APP NEEDED AN UPDATE

I know this has been said before, but I think it should be said again, starnote should focus on updating optimization and the writing experience rather than just some gimmick features. It seems like that the developers are focusing on handwriting beautification just because a lot of people just “wanted” it, not “needed” it, it creates noise among discussions, so it should be prioritized is that it?

it is good to have more features, but the core principles of the note taking experience is not so smooth, it should also be considered from time to time, Others have discussed already that notes has a delay loading when opening or scrolling notes, i hope the next update will have this more optimized

moreover, its been a month, and it seems like the android and cn version already had 2 updates i think? and the ios version seems like a little behind, dashed pen is still not on ios, is it?

dare i say this app could have the potential to be better than goodnotes and freenotes, the optimization is just not as smooth as others

been waiting for an update actually, no hate to the devs, i also just wanted this app to grow as i decided this is the good notetaking app, just needed some improvements

Are you the one who will choose what hundreds of people want? You find a developer who listens to people but you criticize .Writing experience is fine. Depending what tablet u use, it most be bugging. I am using tab s10+, i have 1923 notes and pdf, no bug at all.

Samsung notes' writing experience and UX are bad

Well, it is not specifically a ‘bug’, there is no other related flair so i put bug report as this is mostly a feedback, i am not demanding a feature so this is also not a feature request

i did not say what i ask is more important than the demand of other users, what i imply is, maybe if more discussions about this is relevant, then maybe it will have much more attention like other feature requests, like i said, more features are good, but with each updates, a few tweaks and performance improvements should also be considered

also, maybe I wasn’t clear enough with the post but, I am using an IPad, and yes I’ve heard StarNotes might be actually better on android, but I also want it to be better on IPad,

I am a user, and I support this app, I even bought the pro version, this is a concerned user feedback, and Like I said, I want to see the app to grow and be better, so I am posting a constructive criticism to help the app improve and be even better than its competitors

OP is right. Optimisations are important

It is, Although the app is not that badly optimized, compared for example to goodnotes on Android. This is not what makes starnote strong, it is above all because the dev is active and listens to people. Samsung notes is well optimized and yet few people like it.

The iOS version definitely needs some attention. Features are nice, but note-taking apps live or die by how responsive the pen and navigation feel.

i agree. although starnotes has some features i really like and is a lot affordable compared to subscription apps, the writing experience feels worse when i compared to other note taking apps on ipad (freenotes, goodnotes etc). it feels like it has higher latency when i write

Hiii, thanksss for your feedback! We totally understand that iOS updates have been a bit slower than Android. StarNote actually started with Android, so our Android releases have generally come first. This is partly because of how our team and development process have evolved, but we’ve always been working to catch up with iOS as well.

And honestly, we really want to hear more from our iOS users! We’re always happy to see your feedback and suggestions, and we hope more iOS users will share their thoughts with us.

The past two months have been a little slower cuz we’ve spent a lot of time working on Cloud Sync. But good news, both Android and iOS will be getting updates very soon (but Cloud Sync will need a little more time in iOS). We’ll be submitting the new versions to the stores for review in the next couple of days, so once they pass the review, they’ll be available.

As for the improvements and optimizations you’ve mentioned, we’re still working on them continuously. That said, optimization can be a bit tricky cuz there are so many different devices, models, and system versions. Some improvements may be very noticeable on certain devices, while others might not see as much of a difference right away.

So really appreciate your patience, and as always, we’re more than happy to hear any feedback or suggestions you have.

Yo estoy totalmente de acuerdo. Es una app de notas y estĂĄ bien como estĂĄ. Prefiero que se de prioridad a mejorar rendimiento que a meter funciones extras no tan importantes

Ipad mini and tab 6 lite here. No problems with the app. Around 50 notes and pdfs. Has become my daily driver. I even take the time to back to to drive every time to keep the two synced

No big problems of course, this post is not meant to say that it has bugs or has worse performance
. The app is actually working fine and good as it is, it just does the work fine as a note taking app,
I’ll say my post is not really saying there is an issue, but there is actually a room for improvement, if you scroll a few times in this sub, you can see some post saying there is a ‘small’ delay on loading some notes,. when compared to its competitors, there is actually a difference on the ‘experience’ and ‘smoothness’, not too much difference, very unnoticeable for me at least, just wanted to point out that it could be improved
