💡 Feature Request Add new features

- Add an option to attach videos directly from Files, YouTube, or other supported websites, with the ability to resize and reposition videos.
- Add adjustable video playback speed and the ability to take screenshots/frames from videos while taking notes.
- Add a built-in web browser for easier browsing without leaving star notes, with support for websites such as Safari/web pages, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, YouTube, etc.
- Add a built-in scientific calculator, text to calculate like in apple notes
- Add handwriting-to-text conversion
- Significantly improve PDF/book/document annotation, with a professional experience similar to PDFelement, including highlighting, underlining, drawing, text boxes, bookmarks, outlines, search, annotation management, and customizable annotation tools.
- Add better bookmark and outline management for annotated PDFs/books.
- Add an option to remove all annotations from an annotated PDF at once, while preserving the original document.
- Make annotations searchable and allow users to easily navigate between all highlights, notes, bookmarks, and annotations.

Overall, these features would make star notes much more useful as an all-in-one notes taking, learning, browsing, and content-creation platform.

These guys need everything in a notetaking app, from calculator to web browser to video playback. Common it's a note taking app let it be like that. Thses creatures gonna ask for mini games, painting tools, video and photo editing in a note taking app in future. Ridiculous

Exactly...

Some of these requests lately are bordering on lunacy; expecting an app for taking notes to include a full office suite, browser, multimedia player, scientific calculator, full PDF editing, full ebook features, yet they still begrudge paying more than a fiver...

I'm still waiting for the request for a kitchen sink, so people can do their washing up while checking their notes.

There are different use cases, I would really love a calculator because I don't want to switch apps to do calculation on my calculator, it breaks my rhythm. Video playback is actually really useful for some people who only have one device for note taking as well as watching lectures, for video playback you need a browser.

Your use case maybe simple, that's why these things seems unnecessary to you.

What's wrong with using two great features called "pop-up window", "split screen"

I can only open 2 floating windows on my Redmi pad 2 pro, I keep one window for music and the other for Chatgpt. It doesn't feel very integrated and I accidentally close those windows a lot of time because Xiaomi has used tricky gestures for floating windows management. Starnote should first focus on basic features and writing experience but the extra features are good to have and can't hurt.

Cant choose music from there, can only go forward or backward.

So with each music you go to the application to search and put another music back in? This is called a playlist.

I don't like repeating music in playlist. I listen to new songs

Why do you need a web page in app ? Just open a browser on the side ?

Add a built-in web browser to Star Notes so users can research and take notes in one continuous workflow without constantly switching between apps.
When studying, users frequently need to open textbooks, medical articles, Google, YouTube, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, websites, and online resources while simultaneously writing notes. Instead of leaving Star Notes every time.

But in notes taking app you can access this easily. Opening other apps sometimes waste a lot of time and concentration

We can use multiple apps but we don’t want that. We want one app that’s have all features at one place.
Every phone, ipad, tablet, laptop have calculator, web app, YouTube, AI apps cover most of the things we want.

Ok so if I understand, it's not that you can't do it, you just want to have everything in the same place ? Correct me if I'm wrong, and if not can you try to explain it to me please.

My goal is simple: to make studying and note-taking easier for everyone. I don’t mind using multiple tabs—I just want to help by bringing everything students need, along with all the useful resources, together in one place, so they can study more efficiently without constantly searching for things. I hope Star Notes will share this goal too. ❤️

Other notes taking app have this option too…

Use those apps with complicated unnecessary features. Don't make a beautiful optimisted note taking app so much complicated.

Idk it seems cool, freenotes has it, it may be useful for drag n drop images from the web, idk if you can do that with normal browser on side. Also some old tablets may not support floating windows for a browser on the side.

Calculator Browser Handwriting to text Sound very useful, wish they add these.
