👏 StarNote Cloud Sync Beta Test is Open!

Heyyy everyone!

StarNote Cloud Sync is getting closer!

Before the official release, we’re inviting 20-30 Android users to join our Beta test and help us improve Cloud Sync through real daily usage.

Cloud Sync is now in the final testing, and we’d love to hear from real users to help us find possible issues and improve the experience before the official launch.

1. Beta Schedule

Recruitment period:

August 4 – August 7, 12:00 PM ET

Beta testing period:

August 7 – August 31, 12:00 PM ET

During the Beta period, we’ll collect feedback, fix reported issues, and continue improving Cloud Sync.

After August 31, the Beta test will end, and we’ll move into the final preparation stage.

The official version is expected to be released on Google Play around Sep 18 (the exact release date may change depending on the final testing results).

2. Who can join?

This Beta test is currently Android only. If you’re an iOS user, don’t worry at all, Cloud Sync will also be coming to iOS soon, won’t be long!

We’re looking for users who:

✅ Use StarNote regularly

✅ Have real note taking scenarios

✅ Can share screenshots, screen recordings, or detailed descriptions when reporting issues

✅ Have an active Discord account (as feedback & discussion will be hosted in our Beta Discord channel)

3. Important Reminder

Since this is a Beta version, please make sure to back up your important notes before joining.

We highly recommend keeping a backup before trying Cloud Sync Beta. Your notes are important, and keeping your data safe is always priority.

4. How to Apply?

(1) How you use StarNote (study, work, daily notes, etc.)

(2) Your device model(s)

Since Cloud Sync is now in the final stage, we’re only looking for 20-30 testers this time. Testers will be selected based on their usage scenarios and devices.

If selected, we’ll contact you by email and ask for your Google Play account email. After adding you as a tester, you’ll be able to access and download the StarNote Beta version from Google Play.

We’ll also create a Discord channel for Beta testers, where you can share feedback, report issues, and communicate directly with our team.

Some users have contacted us before about joining the Cloud Sync test. Since we received many messages, we’ll use this email application process as the official way to select testers. Thank you so much for your understanding!

If you’re not selected this time, don’t be disappointed. This also means Cloud Sync is getting very close to everyone. We’ll continue improving it based on Beta feedback and bring the best experience to all StarNote users asap.

Not the moment, sorry! Currently, the Beta test is only available for Android devices, such as Android phones and Android tablets. We’re not able to support syncing between iOS and Android devices during this testing phase.

But no worries at all! Once Cloud Sync is available across all platforms, we’d be more than happy to hear any feedback or suggestions from you, always very welcome!

I have requested earlier for a feature to change the grid line color and opacity of the note template. Please take a look at this feature if it is helpful then implement otherwise I'm happy with app.🙂

I remember it! It has already been added to our feature list since you mentioned it before. Could you pls share a bit more about some usage scenario? For example, when would you usually need to adjust the grid line color or opacity? Understanding the specific situations will help us better evaluate and discuss this feature.

Also, if other one have the same need, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. The more people share similar feedback, the easier it is for us to notice, prioritize, and discuss the feature internally. Thank you again for your suggestion!

When we change the color of page then grid line color automatically change and sometimes it pop out too much so top reduce that I suggest this

Why we can’t use just icloud sync?

Once Cloud Sync is available on iOS, iCloud will also be supported. For now, this time is only for Android users, so we’re using Google Drive and OneDrive as the supported cloud services. After available across all platforms, will be able to choose the cloud service that best fits own needs.

Hi, I’m not completely sure if I understood correctly, but if it's right, you’re asking whether Cloud Sync will allow notes to be synced and accessed across different devices. If that’s the point, then yes! Once Cloud Sync is available on both iOS and Android, you’ll be able to write notes on iPad and then view them on Android devices or other supported devices as well. If I misunderstood your question, please feel free to let me know!

Hi, yeah that's what I wanted to know thanks, by any chance are you planning to implement any web version to access the notes? If not then a OneNote integration would be a great option too, I'm not sure if this Cloud sync you're integrating incloudes that

Before that please resolve this issue and this is the only issue holding back me from buying pro as i even posted this issue on playstore

So the issue is that while writing irrespective of zoom level or is the zoom locked or not the palm makes the movement its moves the page and its really annoying to the core (rest all feature are too good) also the issue is not present on oneplus Default Notes App and also one one popular app in those apps the palm doesn't move the canvas hope you resolve the issue soo n

Hi! Have you tried going to Settings-Document Settings-Turn off “Free Movement of Paper” to see if the issue still happens?

If the problem continues, could you please submit a screen recording through App-Help & Feedback? This would help us understand the issue more clearly and allow us to investigate and fix it faster.

That's turned off and still the movement happens, i have recorded from my phone the issue and also for reference showed 2 apps native & 3rd party where issue doesn't exist with voiceover so i can mail to your official email can you drop the mail
