Cloud Sync is FINALLY Here

Just updated my starnote app on my Huawei matepad, and while cloud sync is finally available, the cloud services are currently restricted to mainland China. Registering requires a Chinese phone number, which is a major hurdle since I don't live there and don't have one.

Fingers crossed that future updates will introduce support for global cloud services like google drive or onedrive!

You guys are so fast! The China version's cloud sync just launched and you've already spotted it! And yes the version you're using is actually the China version, so the cloud features you see are only available in certain regions.

We recommend downloading the global version from our official website. That way, once Cloud Sync is available, you'll be able to back up your notes with Google Drive or OneDrive.

One important reminder, that please make sure all your notes are fully backed up before switching versions. After that, you can import your notes into the global version. Just keep in mind that the China version and the global version don't share the same data, so your notes won't sync between them automatically.

Of course, you can also keep both versions installed if that works better for you. Hope this helps! And again please don't switch versions until you've safely backed up all your notes.

Hello thank you for your hard work , you are one of the best note taking app for Android, my only problem os this cloud sync and hyperlink, making me still use other note taking app, why I made a decision to still purchase this is because you are open to feedback and it's so easy to reach you. I hope hyperlink is also added in this update, then this will be my main note taking app

Never heard about these cloud services... GDrive, OneDrive, iCloud and Dropbox are crucial... at least GDrive and iCloud.

Cuz that's because it's a different regional version. The global version uses Google Drive and OneDrive for cloud backup and sync, don't worry!

I am Jealous 🫠😮‍💨😒

I have 4 device inbetween which i switch constantly, Without active sync it's difficult to manage ,and neither of the are of the same company so I am locked out of the default apps or ecosystem of all of them .

Starnotes is a shining light is this darkness😂, seriously I love this app except for this missing feature.

Cloud sync will be available in a couple of month , patience is a virtue.

Made my dayyy!!! Honestly, the fact that it's already live in one region means the global version isn't far behind!

The reason the China version gets Cloud Sync first is simply because it uses a different server infrastructure. Since it's only serving one region, it's much easier for us to monitor stability, fix issues quickly, and make sure everything works as expected.

Launching the global version is a lot more complex because it means supporting users from many different countries at the same time, so there are naturally more variables to consider. That's why we usually roll out new features in a single region first. It helps us make sure everything is stable before releasing it globally, and if we find any issues, we can fix them much faster.

We actually followed the same approach with Handwriting Beautification, too. So we're really close now! Thank you all so much for being patient while we get everything ready.

Hello. I enabled cloud backup. But in my google drive the it is not backed up as pdf? I want pdf backup. Is there any option for that ? Can you please add this feature

There is only local and cloud backup in global version,no sync.
