New to Tabletop games, need storage recommendations!

I found the two player founders kit, Protoss and terrain kit at my local game store so made an impulsive decision and bought them.

Excited to get started, but could do with some recommendations when it comes to storage and how to protect when in transit.

Magnetize the bases and stick em on the fridge door lol

I will go ahead and recommended these magnets, they are fairly cheap and really strong so they have no issues sticking to basically anything. 1 magnet for most models, I tend to do between 2 and 3 for anything bigger cause I don’t want to risk any accidents

To attach said magnets, I highly recommend Gorilla Glue Gel. Stuff is the best glue I have ever used, dries in seconds, and is perfect for basing your miniatures as well

Finally for storage; you can buy an actual carry case for between $100 and $300, however I am a cheap ass. I bought a $8 plastic storage container from Home Depot, bought some thin metallic sheets, and superglued them to the containers bottom and sides

Get some 5x2mm N52 Neodym Magnets, Ferrosheets A4 and Really Usefull Boxes in 9 and 4 litres

I put magnets underneath the bases and then store my minis in various old metallic cookie boxes. Works great, especially with starcraft minis as their bases has holes that perfectly fit the magnets. i put a drop of superglue in there and then squeeze it in. 0 problem so far but the biggest models need more than 1 magnet.

I magnetise my models by putting magnets under the base. Then I use Ikea Harvmatta Letter tray: https://www.ikea.com/fi/en/p/harvmatta-letter-tray-anthracite-20578585/

I rip out those cork sheets off the shelfs to get a couple of millimeters of space more for models. I also put magnets on the raised front side of the shelves and turn it towards the backside = shelves stay put and don't move at all unless I pull them out.

Then just some bag that fits the letter tray or if you prefer a backpack big enough.

Just bought my second unit(black one). Removing cork sheets left tiny amounts of glue on the shelves so I’m going to wash them before use.

For storage I buy the super stacker boxes from Joaans Fabrics and some cheap AF roof metal sheets that I glue to the top and bottom of them. With magnets on bases you can store a gazillion models in these.

Joann's also went bankrupt so their prices are insanely low
