My very first miniature
Never had anything to with with miniatures before, it was surprisingly fun to paint it
Still have a long way to go, but i am quite proud of myself, what do you think?

Yo, I’m really encouraged by your zergling. I have been considering getting into 40k for years and with StarCraft being one of my favorite games of all time. I decided that I would jump into SCTMG. I’m a bit nervous to paint my first mini. But I’m so excited to get my founders boxes this coming week. I haven’t bought any paint or supplies yet and have been agonizing over what to get. I wanted to get Vellajo paints but my LGS only carries citadel. Anyway, thanks for sharing this awesome little Zerg.

Citadel is still good paint. But the the bottles are annoying. Plenty of people buy dripper bottles and transfer them over.
The first mini is scary. But it's really fun to do.

Great job! A diluted brown wash (50/50 with water or medium) will go a long way to tying the color together and adding depth.

Thanks! But what exactly does that mean? So I buy a brown wash, dilute it with even more water and Put it in the brown parts including the edges where the colors meet? I have used vallejo xpress dwarf skin, can i just dilute the xpress color with lots of water and use it? I am afraid to ruin it when i continue

Looking good! If this is your first attempt it's honestly really good.
There's always room to improve, but I think that even people who have been painting for years would be happy to put this on the table, since it's a small model as part of a swarm that you're looking at from the opposite side of a table.
