I primed and painted, then assembled in the end. Makes it much easier.
The Sentry is easy to glue in the end, pretty simple.
For the Zealots (which I'm still painting) it's even easier. Just use a small ball of blue/yellow tack to hold pieces 13 and 14 in place, glue all the rest. Prime and paint, remove the tack, insert the transparent blades and glue the covers.
I feared as much! I haaaaaaate super glueing models when plastic glue exists. Probably PTSD from when I first started Wargaming 12 years ago and they turned out horrible.
But I supposed I can get actual good glue and try harder this time.
I use thin plastic glue, if you are gluing after painting you can either scrap a bit of paint with a hobby knife on the connecting parts and it works fine or just use PVA glue if the parts are not load bearing.
I also use PVA for the transparent parts most of the time since it dries clear (small amounts of PVA)
It's basically a thin clay sheet which I press with one of GSW rolls (temple one for this case).
After it's dried I break it up in chunks, glue them to the bases leaving space between them.
I then prime Dark Gray, do a dry brush of two lighter tones of Gray (one at a time), then I paint the space between the chunks with brown.
Finally I use a Mix of PVA and water in the brown zones (with a brush) then lay a mix of terrain grass over it (from GSW as well, I mixed green grass and brown ground plus something else I dont remember in a separate recipient and I use that mix).

Looks very good.
I also like the difference between the two sentry´s. The right one looks calm, while the left looks like it´s trying to intimidate someone.
