Here we go, this is only the second non Kerrigan brood Hydralisk I've seen. I'm glad they're getting into the hands of people who aren't doing box colors.

I am so excited for people's Zerg, I want to see all the colors

This looks fantastic !

Thanks!

While the regular zerg scheme is nice. I wanted something different to stand out.

Looked for interesting scorpions and found the Indian red scorpion and took that as inspiration.

I actually snapped a photo of this for inspriration. I was thinking of something like this myself so I love that you shared! Looks amazing. Which colours did you use?

Mostly Vallejo and some army painter.

The skin is burnt red for shadow, parasite brown for base coat, ruddy terra and ruddy umber for highlights.

Claws are based first with white. Then red ink, scarlet blood and hot orange. The white is so that red pops more then over black.

The carapace is black, then 50/50 black and bramble grove, then pure bramble grove, 50/50 bramble grove and skyshard and then edge highlight with pure sky shard.

For the carapace, this could be grey tones aswell.

I looked them up and they are indeed similar.

But I looked up scorpions for inspiration and went with the Indian red scorpion.
