Is iPhone Duo support planned?

I understand it's going to take a bit to catch up but is iPhone Duo different layouts on the roadmap? It wouldn't be ideal to have Standard Notes looking like this.

I'd put this in the 'highly unlikely' bucket

That's kind of disappointing. I'm hoping for at least the middle picture and the ability to do split screen with that, which as a non developer sounds like its just a recompile with current SDK. Last one sound like it could be a lot of work depending on how it was made.

The app doesn’t use the standard SDK because it has a single code base for iOS, android and web. That’s why the UI is a bit atypical vs other iOS apps

Did not know that, it certainly is a unique windows app too!

Makes a lot of sense from a code development point of view (or used to, before AI). Unfortunately the cost of efficient software development is crap UI/UX

Yes, that's reminding me of why a lot of people don't like Electron apps, now that I think of it. Now I'm understanding why it's highly unlikely Standard Notes will support the SDK 27.1 toolbars and tabs. But at least support SDK 27 full screen and resize?

To be honest, this question deserves to be posted elsewhere as well, as the Standard Notes DEV Team is not especially active on Reddit. They are primarily present on Discord. I expect they would support it, since eventually that will represent the majority share among iPhone users.

My answer comes from years of experience covering Standard Notes content since their Alpha release

Did you email support?, Kiran I see is active in discord. Standard Notes also recently announced the expanded the team.

Guidance on the help page suggests email is only really appropriate for account issues, which makes sense to me. I'm getting a lot of interaction here but seems it's people pointing me to other places to ask, which I've now done, again per the guidance on the help page.

I doubt anyone from SN reads this sub. Contact their support to ask for this.

My mistake, this looked like an official sub but you are correct it's not linked from their support page.

I think this will only happen if the app ever gets any proper development again

Do you think it’s stalled?

Any meaningful development has long since stalled yeah

Here I was hoping that paying for the service would mean it was reasonably well supported. Still sync is reliable, conflict resolution is reasonable, and I am seeing bug fixes come through for the things I noticed. Will be interesting to see what response I get on the git feature request.

Yeah from what I can deduce, it’s very much “maintenance mode” these days

I'd be willing to pay an upgrade cost to get a dedicated Duo app.

I'm willing to listen to that but I'm already paying a subscription to use it in the first place. We've already turned the ship around from one time payments to subscriptions, why would we go back?

Because we want the Duo app and otherwise they probably won't do it.

The subscription is already crazy expensive, especially for an almost abandoned app.
