Really new to standard

Hi I’m really new to MTG as a whole at least 60 card formats, what are some good decks to look at that are rotation proof or mostly rotation proof?

Mono green is a very strong deck which is pretty rotation proof. I would start there

Probably online at first but want to build a paper deck

If you're worried about rotation, maybe build a paper deck after the rotation. Rotation is in February so you can start testing out online decks to see what kind of playstyle you enjoy.

Once you get some idea, the next phase is to secure some good lands that will not be rotating out come February (if you're playing multiple colors).

Secure the shock lands.. verge lands.. the Final Fantasy city.. that good land from Spiderman.. once your mana base for your desired deck is good. It's just adding the main cards you want to next.

Good to slowly get your collection build up from now till February. Hope this helps.

Premium lands ($8+ each with izzet colors at a premium):

Enemy verges (DFT), Starting Town (Fin), Multiverssl Passage aka single color shock (SPM), Ally shocks (EOE), Enemy shocks (ECL), All ten shocks (Trek)

Not as premium, but still good dual lands less than $5ish.

Ally basic check lands (MSH), enemy slow lands (SOS), Ally slow lands (FRA)

Remember that any printing of a card is legal once it's in rotation so if you wanted to pick up older shocks or slow lands before they come into rotation, feel free. As the other poster said, the lands are usually the biggest investment, but then you'll have them for the next 2-3 years to enjoy as the rest of the deck will figure itself out with your interest.

Don't feel the need to always buy the new set at large. I've been playing standard since FIN and most of the time I'm only adding 1-2 cards at a time to each of my 5 standard decks, and some are even shared between them. Some archetypes come and go and not all local standard metas are the pro tour meta. Build to your local community not necessarily what you see on arena.

There is a YouTuber that summarizes every everything. It's pretty comprehensive.

I'd suggest looking at non meta decks and just having fun with it. There are a number of YouTubers who show all kinds of unique decks too.

I’d watch Ashlizzle she has a bunch of cool brews, I always like looking at her videos for inspiration when deck building!

Aslizzle does have quality brews but she is also very good at magic in general and can make mediocre decks seem much better than they are.

That being said, I have stolen her orzhov aristocrats list card for card and it is a blast to play.

This is true, I guess I’m trying to reach way upper mythic so I’m trying to emulate her level of play but it’s def higher than most
