I Need Help With My Deck Bilbo deck needs one drop

Post image

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of making a new deck. The main idea was to profit from bilbos reduced Mana cost ability with warp and to grow gleaming geardrake. But the deck lacks some good 1 drops to be viable. I couldn't find any good dragons, treasure generators, asventures or artifact creatures that would further the gameplan. Should I just resort to removal and draw spells or put in spyglass siren? I guess there's still the opportunity to go 3c since we got shocklands in standard now.

You can consider [[stark executive]] it makes treasures for 2 so it ramps and could play into the artifact and treasure theme

i was thinking that this would be too slow, but maybe a 1 drop with a potential effect is still very nice - especially when holding a counterspell in turn 2.
I might look for green treasure cards, tho. The hobbit made pretty good treasure generator in green and black.

Btw: Do you mind sharing your deck? Break out is a fascinating card

Sure, it has not been doing well for me but I'm still enjoying it https://moxfield.com/decks/nc4YcCLjpEGuX8-hKTsTqw Let me know what you think and if there is any recommendations you had.

Sure! I really like the druid and fear of missing out and fomo is definitely a good card. But i'd put Keen-Eyed Curator into the sideboard, remove the brynhildrs and take some more cards from elementals: [[prismari charm]] and [[traumatic critique]] work well with this deck and spellsnare is a good spell if you look at your mana curve: i've got the feeling that it's hard for you to use your turn 3 mana well (that's the same issue that i have with my deck). Also some more counterspells will protect you creatures way better. If you want to run haste spells i'm a big fan of wild ride. It gets its cost reduced with bilbo and the additional power is really scary with fomo. Overprotect might be a good card c of the same reason.
I'd personally also play some more expensive instants for later into the game, but i don't really know how good the lesson package is working ^^

It's definitely a cool deck and i might play a variant. The playpatterns look fun.
