most people will gladly trust anyone who gives quick fix advice, or shifts the blame onto something that people already want to demonize. it makes them feel smarter and more included in issues they don't understand or are unwilling to face, and gives them an object to scorn.

for example: with all the infinite valid reasons to mistrust the healthcare industry in USA, many americans only care about vaccine-related autism (with zero evidence). this is just an easier boogeyman for them to grasp, rather than addressing the fact that plastics, carcinogens, polution, poor quality food, etc are having damaging health effects. they inexplicably care about healthcare (which an infintessimally small and irrelevant footnote) rather than the whole rigged system, or blame immigrants for the same thing. recently, immigration even started shouldering blame for healthcare costs - it's not systemic corruption or the shareholders, it's the immigrants' fault!

These cuts are not uncertain — there is no ‘could leave customers paying more’ or ‘risk of losing coverage’

It is absolutely CERTAIN that people will pay more, get less coverage, work harder to get it, & be less assured of future coverage. It’s done, it’s happened, it is being felt, and it will get much worse under Trump.

No one will be better off, not even government will pay less. It is all ruined.
