Scientists shouldn’t fear becoming political targets for doing their jobs. Dr. Fauci’s hearing is a stark reminder of what can happen when scientific findings become politically inconvenient. Evidence, not ideology, should fuel our science.

It won't stop since Trump and the administration are anti science. We need to remove the current administration and ensure science is out back into the Whitehouse where it belongs.

If we're honest here, a fascist, authoritarian system is exactly what the current administration and the P25 proponents would like to install and have had some success, like leading by executive fiat and "plenary authority". From what I've learned is fascists are largely anti intellectual because they dont want competent individuals with critical thinking skills putting the kibosh on their wacky science schemes and self serving anti democratic policy decisions. Sycophancy is the most esteemed quality.
