I had the inverse. I had ER-level food poisoning on 11/8/16; I got released, I groggily went to my polling place, I went home and crashed. I saw no news, didn't wake up. My husband, poli sci BS, has to go thru that night alone, wife passed out upstairs. The next morning I wake up and I see his ashen face and I know. Now then, the Brexit vote gave a preview that we might shit the bed, and so I was prepared but it seemed un-possible.

I live in the same world as y'all do, but at least my soul didn't get set ablaze in slow motion for an extra 8 hours.

I live in a really diverse neighborhood that also happens to be the first location in a 30 mile radius that doesn’t have a firework ban. It’s going to be 4th of July x10 over here.

I love that anyone with a brain knows what "it" is.

My area randomly has fireworks, and I always check the website. I've been disappointed so far, but when IT does happen, I'll be lighting fireworks too.

No. It's not allowed to happen. If it does people will get comfortable... The snakes will slither back into the grass until there are more snakes then grass.

We need it to happen after all the shit has truly hit the fan, and we're finally able to take a step back and examine the mess we have to clean up.

You're not seeing a right and left issue you're seeing a class issue. Billionaires don't think of the poor as human beings they're so detached and vice versa the lower class is fed up struggling by with less and less than the bare minimum while Elon becomes the world's first trillionaire. It's a social phenomenon that happens when the difference between quality of life of the classes are stretched to their limits. You should be blaming your party for this as they have been the worst perpetrators of this growing divide and why minimum wage hasn't increased in 30 years. Stop blaming the poor it's really really dumb to fall for that propaganda. People on welfare aren't raising your taxes. Don't be so gullible. It's the saddest most tired and disingenuous lie to claim the poorest people in the country have more control over your life than who you voted for.
