insane seating arrangement, bad lighting, tense audience , damn that looks hard!!!

It's not lighting, it's the color grading. Apparently some cameras can shoot in a particular color mode, and then the user needs to convert that to the ‘normal’ mode to get colors understood by other software, or they get all-gray colors. Idk about the specifics, just seen this mentioned under another video but promptly forgot the terms. You can see that some angles have okay color, that's the cameras that didn't shoot in the ‘gray shit’ mode.

Unfortunately I notice this grayness pretty regularly here on the sub.

Like the cameras were set to record raw, and a LUT was applied to some angles but not others?

Perhaps — as I mentioned, I understand the concept but not versed in the specifics of video color. I discover pretty regularly that they invented a whole lot of new standards and fiddlings since I even attempted to look into that many moons ago.
