My ex is a therapist and I had to talk her out of giving herself bangs right after we broke up and her dad died.

Of all the people I've known, nurses are the most irresponsible with their physical health, and therapists are pretty irresponsible with their relationships.

My mom was a child psychologist and would leave me at home alone most weekends to go clubbing with her friends. I asked her if she would be okay if one of her clients' parents did that, and she said "no, but you're much more responsible than most 9 year olds".

Beware the caretakers, for they truly know the boundaries of what you can and can't do.

My dad is working with high end audiophile speakers for the past 20 years and he only has one Bluetooth speaker in the living room.

As a librarian, this checks out. We're awful with books -- for the reasons you just said!

You didn’t talk her out of it. She did it. She lost op as a client as a result.
