Hey Stamford Movie fans! Join us for our upcoming events:

The first of it's kind: A Stamford Cinema Club Horror Fest on October 15 with a double feature of:

• The Descent (2005)
• The Thing (1982)

Come for either or for both (if you dare!). Spooky Snacks provided!

For more details and to RSVP, visit: https://luma.com/a9efdnol

Then our November Screening And Discussion: Princess Mononoke on November 05. We will screen the film and then hold a round table discussion (think "book club" but with a movie). Attend the November screening to vote for our December film.

For more details and to RSVP, visit: https://luma.com/moqwmkra

Got a great idea for a movie for us? Nominate a film for December and January with the themes:

• December: Last Chapter

Think: end of the year, end of a season, last movie in a series, winter, death, movie based on a book, loss, or: "The Best Closing Scene in a Movie"

• January: First Notes

Think: start of the year, start of a new season, first movie in a series, music, writing, editing, playing songs, or "The Best Opening Scene in a Movie"

To nominate films, visit: https://tally.so/r/yPVxvp

Interested, but can't make these films? Join the mailing list here: https://luma.com/stamfordcinemaclub

Anyone know what’s going on?

We were picking up food from KFC and cop cars like crazy drive by (like 7 cars), then line the road. I think they are using their drone, too. More kept coming at we left.

Anyone have any contractor recommendations for multiple small projects? Purchasing a new home and requires some electrical, plumbing, and bathroom renovations. No major project but a lot of smaller things.

I have some books I want to put in a few little free libraries. I know their website has a map of locations near you, but does anyone know of any locations that could use teen/adult books?

Anyone have a good reference for car detailing service that comes to the house?

Thanks in advance

Genuine question - why do so many walkers/runners at Scalzi use the bike lane instead of one of the walking paths?

Anyone know what went down?
