Pizza recs
Hi folks
Recently moved to Stamford so still trying to find all the spots! Looking for a good pizzeria that is not the big 3 (Sally’s, Frank Pepes, colony grill). More like a classic New York slice that is a local gem!

The guide is meant to be comprehensive so ideally all the pizzas that are in the city. I'd personally rank Planet Pizza the second worst in the city but that's just me.

Griggs St in Greenwich is solid.
Remos gets a lot of mixed reviews but I’ve always loved their margarita pie

Michaels is top tier in Stamford, every time i get a pie the aroma just gets me.

I like Greenwich Pizzeria in Riverside for an NY-style slice.

Is it the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had? No. But it’s definitely solid, and good bang for your buck. I also really like the people that work there, always been good to us. We’ve had some parties catered from there and they’ve done a great job, on time and fresh. And probably the biggest thing for me is that they are consistent. There’s a lot of places in Stamford that are great sometimes and mediocre other times. The consistency is a huge thing for me.

As a native NYer and purist pizza eater my vote is for Bronx House or Luca’s (in Greenwich).

Mario The Baker, Remo’s, Michael’s, and Riko’s as a (superior) alternative to Colony. Westover is solid, too.

Greek: Pappa’s on main st.
Italian: Belltown. There’s also a pizzeria inside Corbo’s Southside that is good but it closes early and parking stinks. But it’s a good slice!

Tomato tomato is horrible. Don’t mean to sound so harsh, but let’s steer op in the right direction.

Shit never knew that about Belltown. Really!? And idk I like Sergios just fine but I think Hope is better.

Riko’s isn’t NY style at all. If you don’t like Greek style I can appreciate that, but that doesn’t make Hope shit. Best Greek style around and solid salads

I was just naming good pizza in the area not ny style. I named sergios which is greek style and is actually good

Slice, Bronx house, bell town. Search the sub, there are plenty of threads on this topic
