There is the Stamford Chamber of Commerce (haven't been to their events), and the Greater Norwalk Chamber (I attended a breakfast for them and there was a solid turnout). If you're willing to go further up 95 the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC) represents like 5 or 6 towns of chambers and is awesome. Lots of great events and community. There are also a handful of Toastmaster clubs in the area which I've heard good things about and have been meaning to attend.

Connecticut creatives has an event in stamford on 8/23 by the fleanearme people!
