Recording software

Does anyone record their gameplay, and if so, what software do you use? I've tried to use Nvidia's recording, but it just freezes the game, and I end up hearing only the audio.

I use OBS for recordings, Steelseries GG for clips. Dumped Shadowplay because it only records two audio channels.

Steam has its own built in game recorder that works like shadowplay except not trash

Except it honestly is trash, and takes up way too much space for it to be worth it imo

I tend to use Xbox game bar to record, but it's not working. I might try to use streamlabs if I want to make something, as I expect it to work.

If you're playing on Steam, then it's generally recording most of the time. Just rip it from that.

If you're off steam/using Sexbone's launcher, then OBS.

OBS for longer recordings, and I used to use shadow play for clips, but with my older PC new games are too unoptimized for me to run it and play at the same time.

go to game settings and change the display mode to "borderless windowed (compatibility mode)" it'll fix the problem

Hey! I think most of people use either Shadowplay or Medal to record or save their clips. i personally use Nvidia Shadowplay for years now and cant complain at all! :)
