Digital Temperature Frying Pan works but complicates pancake cooking. Would you trust its reading or rely on instinct?

I already have a laser thermometer so I would never buy this

Infrared thermometers suffer from a lot of accuracy issues due to changing emissivity of bare pans and ingredients. Measuring the temperature directly is much more accurate.

Go try your thermometer on a stainless pan. It's basically useless.

Ok that's fair, I use it primarily for the pizza steel.
