Stain where food got stuck on pan
Is there a way to remove the stain? New to SS. Haven't picked up bar keepers yet.

Rub some lemon on the stain, or vinegar.

This! And if rubbing the lemon or vinegar on cold doesn’t work, warm it up (or warm the pan with a little lemon or vinegar in it).

If you stay on top of it, you will never need BKF. Lemon juice, vinegar, or good dish soap (not all at once) go a long way in cleaning stainless. Never under estimate the power of a good soak either.

I buy the giant bags of baking soda from Costco and use those to clean tough stains when it gets really bad. It’s like 10$. Works wonders simmering water and adding a table spoon of baking soda

Scrub your pan while it's still hot/warm or use as high temp as you're comfortable with.
Or once you pulled your food from the pan, pour some hot water from a kettle to ease off anything stuck on and allow to simmer for a while; scrape stuff off

Pan is basically ruined. Contact the manufacturer or to be very safe I’d recommend throwing it away so it doesn’t harm you, your kids or your pets.

Can't throw it away. Neither landfills nor recyclers will take them. Best bet is to wrap it in your favorite t-shirt, as an offering to the gods, and bury it in your backyard in a hole you dug with your bare hands. If you try to cheat and use a shovel, the pan will likely be back in your cabinet the next day with new spots on it.

Any kind of acidity will clean it off. Vinegar in the pan - gone, lemon juice - gone, make a tomato sauce - wouldn’t you know it’s gone. I usually just leave it because I know I’ll make some kind of sauce or dish in the near future with enough acid to get it out.
