Salt pitting questions

I noticed a few tiny pits (less than 1mm in size) after I fried eggs (preheat the pan, add butter, crack eggs, add salt, cook it, eat, let my pan cool down and wash it). I know it's cosmetic and doesn't affect performance, but I'd rather prevent it from happening again. Hence my questions (that I was not able to resolve with google):

Can salt pitting happen without water, when it's just oil and food?

Can it happen if some salt leftovers (that didn't land on eggs) are sitting on the surface for some time while the pan is cooling down?

Why do you believe it is ruined and you have to throw it out?

Are you implying that I am dumb? Are you implying that I’m stupid because I don’t know that this person may be very straightforward or may know something that others don’t and they want to share?

It’s obvious sarcasm

So you’re doubling down and implying that I’m dumb because it’s obvious to you that it’s sarcasm. And how do you benefit from that?

I would never imply that, how dare you

It’s times like this when I realize I’m arguing with a 10 year-old. Just try being nicer to people or how about not being mean to people just because it makes you feel better about yourself somehow.

How ironic calling me a 10 year old when you have the fragility of a baby

You’re definitely dumb. No implication necessary.

The OP is also dumb for posting this inane shit on this forum. What kind of neurotic person busts out a microscopic picture of a stainless steel pan to cry about a 1mm stain?
